Jam Portal Refund and Cancellation Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to paid Jam Portal venue subscriptions during the controlled pilot.
It should be read together with the Jam Portal Terms of Service.
2. Subscription activation
A Jam Portal subscription is activated after payment is verified and Jam Portal confirms the subscription in the venue account.
During the pilot, activation may be manual.
The plan duration and price shown or agreed at purchase apply to that subscription period.
3. Automatic renewal
Pilot subscriptions do not automatically renew unless Jam Portal later introduces an automatic-renewal option and the customer separately agrees to it.
If no new payment is made, the existing subscription follows Jam Portal's configured expiry, grace, restriction and lock lifecycle.
4. Cancellation
A venue may stop using Jam Portal at any time.
Cancelling or stopping use does not itself create a refund for time already activated.
Because pilot plans are short-duration digital-service subscriptions, payments are normally non-refundable once the subscription has been activated and usable, except where this policy or applicable law requires otherwise.
5. When a refund may be available
A refund may be available where:
- the same subscription payment was charged or recorded more than once;
- Jam Portal received payment but cannot activate the purchased subscription because of a Jam Portal-side error;
- an incorrect amount was paid because of a verified Jam Portal billing error;
- applicable law requires a refund;
- Jam Portal expressly agrees to a refund because of a material service failure.
If a customer requests cancellation before activation and Jam Portal has not yet provided access to the paid subscription, Jam Portal will normally refund the payment, subject to any unavoidable non-refundable transaction charge imposed by the external payment service. Any such deduction should be disclosed.
6. Situations normally not refundable
A refund is normally not available merely because:
- the venue stops using Jam Portal after activation;
- the venue changes its mind after activation;
- the venue's internet, electricity, device, screen, speakers or local network fails;
- a particular third-party media item is unavailable, blocked, removed or restricted;
- a third-party platform or network experiences an outage outside Jam Portal's reasonable control;
- the venue or its users breach the Terms and access is restricted for security or abuse;
- guests do not use the portal as much as the venue expected.
This does not remove any refund right required by applicable law.
7. Service interruption
Where a material Jam Portal-side outage significantly prevents use of a paid subscription, Jam Portal may, depending on the circumstances, extend the subscription, apply a credit, provide a partial refund or provide a full refund where appropriate or legally required.
8. How to request a refund
Email zyroth@jamportal.app with the subject Refund Request.
Include enough information to identify the subscription and payment, such as the venue name, payment/reference number where available, payment date, amount and reason.
Do not send a PIN, CVV, full card number, bank password or other secret payment credential.
9. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds will normally be returned using a practical method linked to the original payment where possible.
Processing time may depend on the external payment provider or financial institution.
10. Payment disputes
Please contact Jam Portal first so that a payment issue can be investigated.
Nothing in this policy removes any right you may have under applicable law or through a payment-service provider.
11. Changes
Jam Portal may update this policy for future purchases. The policy in effect when a subscription is purchased will normally govern that purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.
